Locarno artistic director Frederic Maire won't get much of a rest after his own festival, as he will be heading to the Sarajevo Film Festival Aug 17-25 as a member of the competition jury.
As previously reported, Sarajevo's jury will be headed by UK actor Jeremy Irons.
Other jurors include Turkish actress Ozgu Namal, Swiss/Croatian director Andrea Staka (Das Fraulein), and Meinholf Zurhorst, head of the film department for ZDF/Arte, Germany.
As the Sarajevo Film Festival (August 12-20) grows in stature, so does its importance as a launch pad for international films into the region. Mike Goodridge reports
The Sarajevo Film Festival has selected 19 projects for its 2009 CineLink and CineLink+ co-production market.
Projects from countries including the UK, France, Italy and Spain are among the 16-strong line-up.
