American Film Institute has scheduled its AFI Awards 2026 for January 8, 2027.
The honourees-only event will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles in Beverly Hills and honours members picks for the best film and television of the year.
Oscar winners One Battle After Another, Sinners, Hamet, and Frankenstein were among the group’s recent winners, while Jafar Panahi’s Palme d’Or winner It Was Just An Accident received the AFI Special Award.
The Warner Bros duo One Battle After Another and Sinners, dominated the last awards season, culminating in a combined 10 Oscar wins at the 98th Academy Awards on Sunday.
