WarnerMedia has named Jason Kilar, founding CEO of streamer Hulu and a former Amazon software executive, as its CEO.

Kilar, who takes up the post on May 1, will report to John Stankey, president and CEO of WarnerMedia parent AT&T.

WarnerMedia encompasses the Warner Bros studio operations, premium cable network HBO, Turner and Otter Media, as well as the HBO Max streaming service that is set to launch in the US in May.
