
Indian actor Irrfan Khan has revealed on Twitter that he is suffering from a “rare disease”.
Khan, who won a Viewers’ Choice Award at the Cannes Film Festival for his role in The Lunchbox, said: “The last fifteen days, my life has been a suspense story. Little had I known that my search for rare stories would make me find a rare disease.”
He adds: “In trying times, please don’t speculate as I will myself share with you my story within a week – ten days, when the further investigations come with a conclusive diagnosis.”

51-year-old Khan has acted in more than 100 films, including Paan Singh Tomar and Life Of Pi.
