
International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) has unveiled its Tiger and Big Screen competition juries for its 55th edition, which takes place January 29 – February 8.
The festival’s main Tiger Competition jury includes Iranian filmmaker and actress Soheila Golestani; Brazilian film director, screenwriter and visual artist Marcelo Gomes; Greek-French actress and film director Ariane Labed; BFI festivals director Kristy Matheson; and Croatian novelist and screenwriter Jurica Pavičić.
Meanwhile, Rotterdam’s Tiger Short Competition comprises Congolese photographer and visual artist Sammy Baloji; Georgian visual artist Anka Gujabidze; and Jukka-Pekka Laakso, festival director of Tampere Film Festival.
The Big Screen Competition jury includes: Yemeni-Scottish film filmmaker and trainer Sara Ishaq; Dutch actress Loes Luca; Chris Oosterom, director of Imagine Film Festival; Mila Schlingemann, senior programmer & acquisitions at Netherland’s EYE museum; and Dutch film director and actor Jan-Willem van Ewijk.
The festival has also named French cinematographer Yorick Le Saux as the recipient of the 2026 Robby Müller Award, which acknowledges the artistry of an exceptional image maker, given in collaboration with the Netherlands Society of Cinematographers (NSC) and Andrea Müller-Schirmer.
At IFFR 2026, Le Saux’s works on Jim Jarmusch’s Father Mother Sister Brother and Olivier Assayas’ The Wizard of the Kremlin will feature in the festival’s Limelight strand.
