The nominations announcement for the Gotham Independent Film Awards is to be webcast live on Monday [18], with critic Elvis Mitchell hosting.
The event, which begins at 1pm New York time (5pm GMT), will be brought to a global audience by UstreamTV (http://www.ustream.tv/channel/gotham-independent-film-awards-2010).
Nominations will be announced in the following categories: Best Feature, Best Documentary, the Alfred Dunhill Breakthrough Director and Breakthrough Actor Awards, Best Ensemble Performance and the Royal Bank of Canada, Best Film Not Playing at a Theater Near You Award. The Festival Genius Audience Award nominees will be announced early November.
The awards are staged by the Independent Filmmaker Project and are this year celebrating their 20th anniversary. Award winners will be announced on November 29.
