Searchlight Pictures and Yorgos Lanthimos are readying And, their fifth film together which is set to star Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe and Margaret Qualley.
Film4 co-financed the project and Element Pictures are producing And, which begins principal photography in New Orleans next month. Plot details remain under the proverbial wraps.
Element Pictures and Film4 jointly developed the screenplay by Lanthimos and Efthimis Filippou (The Lobster, The Killing Of A Sacred Deer), and Element’s Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe are producing alongside Kasia Malipan and Lanthimos.
Searchlight, Element and Film4 collaborated on The Favourite and Poor Things, currently in post-production and starring Stone, also one of the leads in The Favourite. Element also produced The Lobster.
“Working with Yorgos continues to be a highlight for us at Searchlight, and this is yet another truly original project that sets his work apart,” said Searchlight presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield. “Working again with Emma, Jesse, Willem, and Margaret as well as Element and Film4 is just the icing on the cake.”

Overseeing And are Searchlight’s vice-president of production Richard Ruiz and director of development and production Peter Spencer, reporting to heads of production and development Katie Goodson-Thomas and DanTram Nguyen. Director of Film4 Ollie Madden, head of development Ben Coren, and productionand& development executive Alice Whittemore will oversee for Film4.
