The New Black Film Collective’s TNB XPO 2022

The New Black Film Collective (TNBFC), a UK-based network of film exhibitors, educators and programmers of Black representation on screen, is to host a second edition of its annual convention showcasing Black film and high-end TV talent.

The two-day event, titled TNB XPO, will take place from March 29-30 at Rich Mix in London.

Hundreds of people working in the film industry are expected to attend and the focus will be on amplifying both UK and international Black cinema.

There will be screenings of films from Black creators of African descent as well as talks, networking events and workshops.

The Film and TV Charity’s CEO Alex Pumfrey and its impact partnerships programme manager Anita Herbert will deliver a keynote speech announcing a flagship programme to support Black and Global Majority industry professionals.

Herbert said: “We have previously announced our intention to launch a new programme to support organisations working to make the film and TV sector anti-racist. We are looking forward to giving more information about this programme at TNB XPO, as well as making sure that people working behind the scenes in the industry are fully aware of the support the Charity offers them.”

The inaugural TNB XPO was held in March 2022 at Picturehouse Central.

TNBFC was founded in 2011 and is managed by Priscilla Igwe.
