The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has revealed an additional five films for its special presentations programme, among them David and Nathan Zellner’s Alpha Gang and Rachel Morrison’s Love Of Your Life.
Alpha Gang, a US sci-fi comedy with Cate Blanchett, Dave Bautista, Chris Pine and Lea Seydoux, is billed by TIFF as an international premiere (suggesting the film may be in line for a world premiere at another autumn festival).
Love Of Your Life, a US romantic drama with Margaret Qualley, from Amazon MGM Studios, will get its world premiere in Toronto.
The three other newly announced special presentations will also be getting their world premieres at the 51st TIFF edition, set to run from September 10-20.
The Housewife, directed by Ben Shirinian, is a US drama with Luke Evans and Naomi Watts. Neon launched international sales on the project at this year’s European Film Market.
Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother, written and directed by Bassam Tariq, is a crime drama from Amazon MGM Studios with Giancarlo Esposito and Mahershala Ali starring.
Glaxo, from writer-director Benjamín Naishtat, is a period drama from Argentina and Brazil.
TIFF previously announced that Siân Heder’s Being Heumann will be its opening night world premiere.
