Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) has revealed the corporate banners and executive line-ups that will be used when the entertainment giant splits in two in mid-2026. 

The company’s streaming and studios operation will be known as Warner Bros and will consist of Warner Bros Television, Warner Bros Motion Picture Group, DC Studios, HBO, HBO Max and Warner Bros Gaming Studios, as well as the group’s film and television libraries. Current WBD president and CEO David Zaslav will be president and CEO of Warner Bros. 

The global networks operation will be called Discovery Global and will include CNN, TNT Sports in the US, Discovery, the group’s free-to-air channels across Europe, and the Discovery+ streaming service. Gunnar Wiedenfels, currently CFO of WBD, who will be president and CEO of the operation. 

Top executives on the streaming and studio side, most of them keeping their current job titles, will include: Pam Abdy and Mike De Luca, co-chairs and CEOs of Warner Bros Motion Picture Group; Casey Bloys, currently chairman and CEO of HBO and Max content, who becomes chairman and CEO, HBO and HBO Max; Channing Dungey, currently chairman and CEO of Warner Bros TV Group and US networks, as chairman and CEO, Warner Bros TV Group; and J B Perrette, currently CEO and president of global streaming and games, who becomes CEO and president of streaming and games. 

James Gunn and Peter Safran will retain their titles as co-chairmen and CEOs of DC Studios.

With our unmatched portfolio of storytelling IP coupled with our incredible creative partners, and now an executive team of proven, bold and committed creative and corporate leaders, we are in a strong position to launch and continue to meaningfully grow a company worthy of our storied past.”
