Jim Jarmusch will receive the Honorary Creative Award at the upcoming Reykjavik International Film Festival.
Iceland’s president Olafur Ragnar Grimsson will present the award during the festival, which runs Sept 23-Oct 3.
The festival will screen three of Jarmusch’s films (not yet revealed) and also You Are Not I, which he made with his wife Sara Driver (who will also attend RIFF).
Jarmusch will also be doing a masterclass and/or Q&A while in Reykjavik.
The festival has recently announced that it has confirmed about 20 films for the programme. The selections include several Danish films: Thomas Vinterberg’s new drama Submarino, and Gothenburg Nordic award winner R, a prison thriller directed by Tobias Lindholm and Michael Noer.
