The projects from eight countries include AM11:00 by director Shin Terra (Black House) and John Cairns’ Japanese project School Girl Apocalypse, with producer Yukie Kito (Tokyo Sonata) attached.

Asia’s largest genre film fest, the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (PiFan) has announced 15 projects for its Network of Asian Fantastic Films (NAFF) ‘It Project’ market.

Headed by recently appointed festival director Young Bin Kim, the 14th PiFan will take place July 15 - 25 with NAFF July 18 - 22 in Bucheon - a satellite city of Seoul, Korea.

The projects from eight countries include AM11:00 by director Shin Terra (Black House) to be co-produced by Singapore’s Jack Neo, Demonstrate Loyalty from Hong Kong’s Pang Ho Cheung, and John Cairns’ Japanese project School Girl Apocalypse, with producer Yukie Kito (Tokyo Sonata) attached.

In its third year, NAFF received a variety of 74 genre projects from 21 different countries in Asia, the Americas and Europe.

The 15 ‘It Project’ selectees will get one-on-one business meeting opportunities with international film producers and key investors, as well as compete for cash and post-production service prizes.

Previous It Projects include the Japanese film Tsubaki Hime, directed by Yu Irie, which premiered at the Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival earlier this year, and Singaporean film Forever, directed by Li Lin Wee, which is due for release this year.
