The American actress joins Johnny Depp on the Alcon Entertainment project. Separately, JK Simmons and Chris Elliott are on board Marc Lawrence’s untitled rom-com.

Johnny Depp, Paul Bettany and Rebecca Hall star in Transcendence, which marks the feature directorial debut of Christopher Nolan’s cinematographer Wally Pfister and will begin principal photography in April.

Production is set to kick off in April in New York on the story of a washed-up screenwriter who falls for a single mother after he takes a teaching job on the East Coast.
