Los Angeles-based Eleven Arts handles world sales on the US-Japannese psychological thriller from director and co-writer Dave Boyle. Financing comes from US and Japanese equity sources.

Man From Reno is scheduled to shoot in California until the end of April and tells of a Japanese writer on a break in California who teams up with a small-town sheriff to solve the riddle of two missing Japanese men. Pepe Serna rounds out the key cast.

Ko Mori produces and Boyle’s co-writers are Joel Clark and Michael Lerman.

Boyle’s directing credits include White On Rice and Big Dreams Little Tokyo. Warner Bros acquired his most recent film, Surrogate Valentine.
