The film about a faded boxer will shoot in East London in spring 2012 for Canyon Creek Films.

The latest project from British director Reg Traviss, whose credits include Joy Division and the recently released prison drama Screwed starring Noel Clarke and James D’Arcy, will be a thriller set in London’s East End called Silvertown.

Written by newcomer Anthony Khaseria, the film tells the story of a faded boxer who must decide where his loyalties lie when he becomes embroiled in a vicious heist that goes violently wrong. Traviss said the script grabbed him from the first read thanks to the “gripping and tense storyline” and “huge action set pieces involved”.

Simon Brooks of Canyon Creek Films will produce with Tim Dennison co-producing and Jonathan Malachi executive producing.

Shooting is scheduled to start in London’s East End and Mayfair in spring 2012.
