The producer of The Hateful Eight and other Quentin Tarantino films will serve as co-president of the video game giant’s production venture.
Along with co-president and former Disney executive Nick van Dyk, Sher will develop among other things the Call Of Duty franchise based on the hit game and the Skylanders Academy TV show.
Sher has produced more than two dozen major films including current release The Hateful Eight. Partnered with former Disney exec Nick van Dyk, she has another dozen TV series and TV movies along the way.
“Stacey’s immense talent is a great fit for Activision Blizzard Studios, and together we’ll bring Activision Blizzard’s hugely popular intellectual property to both existing fans and new audiences,” said van Dyk.
In a statement Tarantino said: “Stacey’s uncompromising commitment to creativity and great storytelling is why she has been an amazing collaborator on the three films we have made together and a cherished friend over the past 20 years.”
