Simon Phillips’ sci-fi thriller shot for four weeks at Hollywood’s Laurel Canyon stages.

Production has wrapped on Simon Phillips’ sci-fi thriller The Last Scout.

The latest feature from Runaway Features & Press On Features, The Last Scout was written by Paul Tanter and is produced by Tanter, Phillips and Alain Wildberger. Phillips and Tanter previously worked together on White Collar Hooligan.

Tanter commented: “After filming White Collar Hooligan 2 in New York last year, we’ve been keen to come back to the US to shoot and this was the perfect vehicle to do so. As sci-fi geeks, this is something we’re very excited about and Simon has done a terrific job both behind and in front of the camera, combining the best elements of Sunshine and Battlestar Gallactica.”

The Last Scout shot for four weeks at Hollywood’s Laurel Canyon stages and centres on a crew of astronauts searching for a new home for humanity after Earth has been devastated by a nuclear war.

Phillips and Tanter are set to commence production on New York kidnap thriller The Disappearance of Lenka Wood and period crime biopic The Rise of The Krays.
