California-based production, financing and distribution company Unified Pictures has launched an international sales division and retained Ann Dubinet to oversee the debut slate at next week's EFM in Berlin.

Unified will commence sales on the revenge noir The Perfect Sleep starring Roselyn Sanchez, drama Bob Funk starring Oscar nominee Amy Ryan and Rachael Leigh Cook and thriller XII with Mercedes McNab.

'Unified Pictures has been set up as a creative, innovative and aggressive production, distribution and now sales company that operates on a sound business plan that allows us to choose projects that are artistically driven and distinct as well as financially successful,' Unified Pictures founder and president Keith Kjarval, who
will oversee the sales operations, said.

'This is a natural growth initiative for us. The company's focus is on offering distributors quality material and first-rate films like The Perfect Sleep, Bob Funk and XII. We look forward to heading to Berlin with such a robust slate.'

Unified also runs a 10,000-sq ft stage, post-production sound, a CG animation division and in-house financing division.

The company's slate includes the CG animated feature Noah's Ark and the modern-day Capra-esque tale 55 Holly Star.
