London-based sales companyCapitol Films has announced it has taken on financing and worldwide sales forJohn Maybury's The Best Time Of Our Lives and Rigoberto Castaneda's Blackout.

The Best Time Of OurLives (working title) stars KeiraKnightley and Lindsay Lohan in the story of an unlikely friendship betweenDylan Thomas' former sweetheart Vera and his wife Caitlin. The role of Thomasis still being cast.

Rebekah Gilbertson and SarahRadclyffe are producing. Sharman Macdonald wrote the script and the projectwill shoot in Wales in spring 2007. Maybury's past films include The Jacket also starring Knightley and Francis Bacon biopicLove Is The Devil.

'Capitol is excited tobe financing The Best Time Of Our Lives and introducing the project to distributors at the AFM,' saidCapitol's Jane Barclay. 'We have a wonderful script with two of thehottest young actresses in cinema today and I am confident that the film willbe amongst the most sought after new properties at the market.'

Thriller Blackout stars Amber Tamblyn and Aidan Gillen. Ed Doughertywrote the screenplay based on the bestselling Italian novel of the same name byGianluca Morozzi. The plot follows two people trapped in an elevator with aperson they come to realise is a serial killer. The project recently startedshooting in Barcelona. Valerio Morabito and Simon O'Leary are producing.Castaneda previously directed Kilometro 31.

Capitol's AFM slate alsoincludes John Dahl's You Kill Mestarring Ben Kingsley, Sidney Lumet's Before The Devil Knows You're Dead starring Philip Seymour Hoffman and BruceBeresford's A Dream Of Red Mansionswith Ken Watanabe and Kate Hudson.
