The seasoned executive arrives as president of Worldview Entertainment’s motion picture group.

Werber was a senior executive in charge of worldwide co-productions and acquisitions at Twentieth Century Fox and Warner Bros and most recently set up Fluent Entertainment speclialising in local-language productions.

“From its inception in 2007, Worldview has evolved into a preeminent film financing and production company and grown to a scale that mandated an additional executive hire to help manage our product flow and evolving distribution deals,” said chairman and CEO Christopher Woodrow.

“Clifford, with his extensive independent film production and major studio experience, was the perfect hire.”

“I’ve been in search of the right opportunity to leverage my studio-honed skill set, help equity investors navigate the industry and grow an independent film company,” said Weber, who will report to Woodrow and COO Molly Conners.

“Christopher and Molly have done an outstanding job building such a dynamic company and I’m excited to be joining them at such a momentous time in Worldview’s evolution.”

Last week Worldview announced a five-year, production, distibution and sales pact with The Weinstein Company. Worldwiew’s The Search starring Berenice Bejo will screen in competition in Cannes.
