The distributor has picked up US rights to Gabriele Salvatores’ Siberian Education starring John Malkovich in the tale of members of a gang of exiled Siberians who adhere to a strict code.

Wrekin Hill negotiated with sales agent WestEnd Films and will release later this year.

Sandro Petraglia, Stefano Rulli and Salvatores adapted the screenplay based on the novel by Nicolai Lilin. Catteya’s Riccardo Tozzi, Giovanni Satabilini and Marco Chimenz produced and Gina Gardini served as executive producer.

Arnas Feravicius, Vilius Tumalavicius, Eleanor Tomlinson, Peter Stormare, Jonas Trukanas and Vitalji Porsnev round out the cast. 

Siberian Education has already opened in several territories including Italy and to date has grossed more than $6m at the box office.
