The best music, sound design and actress awards went to Nicolas Provost’s The Invader.

Andrei Zvyagintsev’s Russian feature Elena, which was the closing film in Cannes Un Certain Regard this year, has won the Grand Prix for Best Film at the 38th Ghent Film Festival.

The award carries a prize of 43,000 euros worth of support for the release of the film in Flanders and Brussels.

The award for best music and sound design went to Nicolas Provost’s feature The Invader. Issaka Sawadogo also won the best actor award for The Invader.

Elizabeth Olsen was named best actress for her performance in Sean Durkin’s Martha Marcy May Marlene.

The EFA short film award went to Pauline Gray’s Demain Ce, Sera Bien.

This year’s international jury was made up of jury president, Belgian director Jessica Woodworth alongside Norwegian director Erik Poppe, US composer Nathan Larson, EFA’s Marion Döring and Israeli director Eran Riklis.
