UK-Germanco-production Click,set to star Rhys Ifans, Bill Nighy, Thandie Newton, Dominic West and JuliaStiles, is one of four international co-productions to share Euros 3m fundingfrom Dusseldorf-based Filmstiftung NRW.

The romantic comedy about a bride falling in love withanother woman is the directorial debut of Ol Parker and is a co-production withthe UK's Fragile Films and the Cologne office of X-Filme creative pool.It was awarded Euros 500,000 in backing. X-Filme's distribution arm X Verleihwill handle the film in Germany.

The largestamount of funding - over Euros 1.6m - went to Belgian director DominiqueDeruddere's Blood Nuptials which will be shot completely in North Rhine-Westphalialater this year as a co-production between typhoon Networks, Fanes Film andBelgium's MMG n.v. Film & TV Production. Constantin Film has picked up theGerman theatrical rights for the film which will star German actors ArminRohde, Uwe Ochsenknecht and Ulrike Kriener.

Meanwhile,veteran Polish actress Krystyna Janda, Nowhere In Africa star Matthias Habich and veteranGerman actress Christel Peters are lined up for Robert Glinski's adaptaton ofthe Gunter Grass novel Unkenrufe which received Euros 750,000 backing. Cologne-basedZieglerfilm is to co-produce with Ziegler Film in Berlin, Poland's Filmcontractand the ARD network's Degeto Film, with Edition Salzgeber as Germandistributor.

Finally, theCologne arm of Thoke + Moebius Film and distributor-producer Pegasos Film havebeen granted Euro 95,000 for the new feature by Nurbek Egen - Le Coffre DesAncetres - whichwill be co-produced by Russia's Kinoglaz, Kirghizia's Sanzhyra and France'sMACT Production.
