Diane Kruger will act as Mistress of Ceremonies for the 60th Cannes Film Festival.
Kruger, who has made France her adopted home, will oversee the opening and closing ceremonies this coming May.
The actress is best known to international audiences for her roles in Troy, National Treasure and 2005's Cannes selection and Oscar nominee Merry Christmas.
Cannes runs this year from May 16-27. Previous actors to hold the position include Vincent Cassel in 2006, Cecile de France in 2005, Laura Morante in 2004 and Monica Bellucci in 2003.
