Elizabeth Hurley has been signed as the lead actress in Method, a thriller for Andrew Stevens' company Trademark Entertainment.

Hurley will be promoting the film during the Cannes film festival this month. The film will be offered for sale at the Cannes market and is available in all foreign territories. Shooting starts in July.

'The script has been rewritten with Elizabeth in mind,' said President Andrew Stevens. "Hurley was hoping to do something to push the erotic edge much like Sharon Stone did in Basic Instinct and is very excited about this new project."

Produced by Donald Kushner, Brad Wyman and Andrew Stevens and directed by Ron Duncan, Method tells the story of method actress Rebecka Fairbanks who portrays Belle Gunnes, who seduced and murdered more than a dozen victims using the personal ads. Then, reality mirrors fiction when during filming, three people close to the cast are found dead in the same brutal fashion as the real killings.
