Writer Lucy Moore has wonthe inaugural Golconda Films Horror ScreenwritingCompetition with her script Lullaby.

Moore was recently featured as one of Screen International's 2006 Stars of Tomorrow.

She will receive a $1,845 (£1,000)advance on a script option to make the horror film and will work with producersGolconda Films during the development process. Theproject is about motherhood and sudden infant death syndrome.

The three runners up - Stewart Suggfor The Glory Hole, Eoin Rogers for GeneStealer and Ewan Fraser for The Clearing - will go through a one-on-one development programme withthe Script Factory.

Judges were GregoryMackenzie and Brett Walsh from Golconda, Ludwik Smolski from The Script Factory, actor James D'Arcy andfilm critic Wendy Ide. Golconda and the Script Factory started the competition tonurture new screenwriting talent in the UK.

Moore is also working on a feature script entitled Yours Faithfully, a psychologicalthriller about a murder accomplice after her release from prison.
