Low-budget UK studio Moxie Makers has announced the final six feature projects in its Big Pitch competition which comes with a $500,000 prize.

The projects are Red Sleigh Down from writers Ian Gilbertson and Stephen Atherton; Different Shades Of Graham from Brad Watson, Keith Lynch, David T Lynch (writer/directors) and Simon Thomas (producer); Til Jihad Do Us Part by Shai Hussain (writer); Blackout by Derek Boyes (writer/director); The Brightness from Gary Reich (writer/director) and Celine Haddad (producer); and Leanne Loves Pierre by Neil Wagstaff (writer/director) and Christine Hartland (Producer).

More than 200 film-making teams submitted projects for consideration.

Eight projects had gone through a training programme with a four-day London workshop with industry professionals.

The panel voting on the shortlist was comprised of Christine Alderson and Hayley Manning (Moxie Makers), Lorianne Hall (Ipso Facto Films), Eve Gabereau (Soda Pictures), Mark Vennis (Moviehouse Entertainment) and Denise Parkinson (Bauer Media).

The competition continues with four teams pitching at the Northern Lights Film Festival. The prize includes production finance, a production deal with Molinare, UK distribution with Soda and international sales from Moviehouse.
