Cinemavault closes key sales on Mirageman and The Blackout

Toronto-based Cinemavault has concluded a raft of sales on Ernesto Diaz Espinoza’s superhero film Mirageman, which played at last year’s Sitges International Film Festival.

Rights have been sold to WE Productions for France, HBO for Eastern Europe, Hitlab Entertainment for CIS, Horizon for Turkey, Seven Seas for Thailand, PT Global for Indonesia, Front Row for the Middle East, and ETV for South Africa.

Martial arts expert Marko Zaror, also known as The Latin Dragon, plays the masked superhero Mirageman, who sets out to bring down a crime syndicate.

The US-Chilean co-production is scheduled for US release through Magnolia Pictures’ genre label Magnet Releasing.

Cinemavault has also closed key sales on the creature feature TheBlackout from Robert David Sanders. The film has sold to IPA for Japan, Thailand and Taiwan, Film Depot for CIS, Falcon Films & Daxar/Virgin for the Middle East, and ETV for South Africa.
