In advance of the May 16 world premiere on the Croisette and simultaneous opening day release in France through StudioCanal, a comprehensive picture has emerged of the slew of top tier sales on Wes Anderson’s latest work.

Alison Thompson and her team at Focus Features International have closed deals with Tobis in Germany and Austria, Paradise in CIS and Baltic, Lucky Red in Italy, Alta Classics in Spain and Phantom Film in Japan.

Moonrise Kingdom went to Tobis / Ascot Elite for Switzerland, Deltamac for Hong Kong, Italia Film for the Middle East, Lusomundo for Portugal, Shaw Renters for Singapore, Ster Kinekor for South Africa and SSG in Taiwan. As previously reported on Screendaily, NonStop acquired Scandinavia rights.

Universal will distribute in the UK, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand and Focus Features will release the film in the US on May 25.
