Arclight Films genre unit Darclight has picked up international rights excluding the UK, Australia and New Zealand to Louise Alston’s upcoming horror musical spoof Tracey’s Slumba Party.

Michael Robertson and Kent Smith will produce through their new genre label Croweater Entertainment, a production alliance between Robertson’s Prodigy Movies and Smith’s producer-distributor Kojo Pictures. Darclight will produce with Croweater.

The film centres on a sleepover that according to Smith descends from “manicures and boy talk to murder and mayhem.”

Alston expects to begin filming later this year in South Australia with Kate Geck and Mel Sano set to star.
