Film Movement has acquired North American rights to British film-maker Paul Cotter’s bittersweet road movie Bomber.

The film centres on an 83-year-old man whose hapless son agrees to drive him to Germany for a long planned journey of atonement.

Film Movement president Adley Gartenstein and vice-president of acquisition and distribution Rebeca Conget brokered the deal with George Rush.

“The fact that Bomberwill get the kind of care and attention Film Movement offer - that was a deciding factor for me,” Cotter said. “It feels like a perfect home.”
