Nick Meyer will commence pre-sales at the EFM next month on the “genre bending” Untitled Bell/Peterman Project. Director William Brent Bell and his co-writer Matthew Peterman’s The Devil Inside stormed to the top of the US charts last weekend in a shock $33.7m debut.

Production on the untitled follow-up is scheduled to commence in Romania in April. Plot details are being kept under wraps.

Sierra/Affinity and its partner the Incentive Filmed Entertainment Fund are financing the film and will also act as producers alongside Bell, Peterman and Paulson’s company Prototype. Steven Schneider, Peterman and Morris Paulson are serving as producers.

“From day one we have been huge fans of this filmmaking team and the way they have crafted a unique movie-going experience with The Devil Inside,” Meyer said. “These are filmmakers we know and trust and they bring an original voice and style to our next project that will once again introduce audiences to a new expectation of what one can define as a genre film.”

Sierra/Affinity’s slate includes Parker starring Jason Statham which FilmDistrict will distribute in the US later this year.
