UK distributor Dogwoof has picked up Sundance music doc Muscle Shoals ahead of its premiere at Sundance London.

The deal was negotiated by David Koh of Submarine Entertainment, on behalf of the filmmakers, and Dogwoof.

Muscle Shoals, from first-time director Greg ‘Freddy’ Camalier, explores the music to come out of the FAME Studios in Alabama, responsible for ‘the Muscle Shoals sound’ and band The Swamper.

The doc includes contributions from Greg Allman, Bono, Clarence Carter, Mick Jagger, Etta James, Alicia Keys, Keith Richards, Percy Sledge and John Paul White.

The film will screen at Sundance London this weekend followed by a performance by Gregg Allman and John Paul White who are working together for the first time.
