Former Disney and Sony Pictures studio executive Maike Haas has brought onboard by Paramount Pictures Germany as executive consultant for local language acquisition and production.

Haas will handle the full range of film production for Paramount Pictures in Germany, from script stage, through development and finance, and to production.

Sven Sturm, CEO of Paramount Pictures German, said: “I’m very proud, to welcome Maike as part of the team. We’ve known and respected each other for a very long time. So today I’m so happy to know that Paramount Pictures Germany will become one of the top destinations for German productions with the aid of her expertise and reputation.”

Maike Haas will report to Sturm, and to Matt Brodlie, senior VP of Paramount worldwide acquisitions and local productions group.
