Adam Smith will make his feature debut on the heist film, starring Michael Fassbender, Brendan Gleeson and Sean Harris.

Lionsgate has acquired UK rights to Trespass Against Us.

Adam Smith will make his feature film debut on the heist film which stars Michael Fassbender, Brendan Gleeson, Lyndsey Marshal, Rory Kinnear, Sean Harris and Killian Scott.

It is set across three generations of the Cutler family who live as outlaws but when the law catches up with one of them, he is torn between the principles of his father and what he believes is best for his children.

Protagonist Pictures are handling global sales.

Written by Alastair Siddons, Trespass Against Us is scheduled to shoot in the UK this summer.

Siddons will produce with Gail Egan and Andrea Calderwood of Potboiler Productions. The film will be executive produced by Tessa Ross of Film4, alongside Zygi Kamasa at Lionsgate with Frederick W. Green and Joshua Astrachan of Animal Kingdom and Nigel Williams.

Trepass Against Us was developed and is being co-financed by Film4, with backing from the BFI and Lipsync.

The Chemical Brothers will write and perform the original score. Smith has directed promos for the electro duo and the documentary The Chemical Brothers - Don’t Think, as well as TV episodes of Doctor Who, Little Dorrit and Skins.

In the last year, London-based Potboiler has finished shooting A Most Wanted Man, Half of a Yellow Sun and A Little Chaos.
