Sierra/Affinity has announced a slew of international sales in Toronto on Bold Films’ Jake Gyllenhaal thriller Nightcrawler.

Rene Russo and Bill Paxton will also star and Dan Gilroy will direct from his screenplay. Jennifer Fox, Tony Gilroy, and Gyllenhaal are producing. 

Bold Films is financing with Michel Litvak and David Lancaster producing and Gary Michael Walters serving as executive producer.

Nightcrawler follows the story of a man who discovers the nocturnal world of LA freelance crime journalism.

Deals have closed in Australia (Madman), Germany (Telemunchen), France (Selective Films), Latin American (Sun Distribution), Japan (CCC), Hong Kong (Pegasus), Scandinavia (Mis. Label), Taiwan (CMC Content), CIS and Baltics (CP Digital), Italy (Notorious), Portugal (Lusomundo), Middle East (Eagle) and Singapore (Golden Village.)

Rights have also gone to South Africa (Ster Kinekor), Switzerland (Ascot Elite), Greece, Turkey and India (Tanweer), Hungary (PARLUX), former Yugoslavia (Blitz), Malaysia (GSC Movies), Thailand (IPA Asia Pacific), Philippines (Captive), Poland (Monolith), Iceland (Myndform) and airlines (Cinesky).
