The veteran actor will play Andres Galan in fledgling El Rey Network’s scripted original series from Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman set to premiere in July.

Molina, who starred in the recent Sundance hit Love Is Strange, joins previously announced cast members Gabriel Luna, Nicky Whelan and Neil Hopkins.

He will play a telecoms pioneer and football club owner who is also a member of a powerful secret society that unknowingly houses a CIA mole, a football star known as Matador.

Orci and Kurtzman and producing in association with K/O Paper Products. El Rey Network chairman and founder Robert Rodriguez will direct the first episode.
