Madeline Carroll joins Rob Reiner romance Flipped

Swing Vote’s Madeline Carroll has joined Aidan Quinn and Penelope Ann Miller on Rob Reiner’s childhood romance Flipped for Warner Bros.

Shooting is scheduled to start on June 26 in Michigan. Reiner and Andy Scheinman adapted Wendelin Van Draanen’s novel charting the six-years relationship between a pair of youngsters.

East Of Doheny head Kelly Gonda is producing along with Reiner and his producing partner Alan Greisman for Castle Rock Prods.

Quinn and Miller play the parents of Carroll’s character while John Mahoney has signed on as the boy’s grandfather.

Wendi Green of Abrams Artists Agency and Susan Curtis of Curtis Talent Management negotiated Carroll’s deal along with attorney Peter Nichols of Lichter, Grossman, Nichols, Adler & Feldman.

Carroll just wrapped production on Marc Erlbaum’s independent drama Cafe opposite Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy.

She also appears in the voice cast of Astro Boy, which Summit Entertainment will release in October, and in Lionsgate’s 2010 release The Spy Next Door opposite Jackie Chan.
