Stephen Mangan, Jim Broadbent, Rupert Grint and David Tennant lead the voice cast for the animated feature version of the much loved British children’s TV series, which is due to begin production this month and will be delivered in the UK by Icon.

The much loved British children’s TV series Postman Pat is to be made into a feature film, with the voices of Stephen Mangan (as Pat), Jim Broadbent, Rupert Grint and David Tennant. The announcement coincides with the 30th anniversary of the TV show.

Postman Pat: The Movie – You Know You’re The One, will see the much loved postman getting the 21st century treatment as he comes face-to-face with the temptations of money, status and a shiny new suit when he enters a national TV talent show competition that threatens to tear him away from his hometown of Greendale.

It will be released in CG 3-D Stereoscopic.

The feature animation will be directed by Mike Disa (Hood vs. Evil) from a screenplay co-written by Spice World writer Kim Fuller and Annika Bluhm, who produced the Postman Pat television series.

Robert Anich and Miles Horst are producing for Rubicon Group Holding (RGH) Entertainment together with Ceri Barnes and Annika Bluhm for Classic Media.

Production begins this month on the film, which is being sold internationally by Ralph Kamp’s Timeless Films.
