Nu Image/Millennium Films is backing James Cox’s comedy that commenced shooting on Tuesday [16] at Millennium Studios in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Straight A’s follows a slacker who honours his dead mother’s wish by returning to the family homestead where he encounters his brother’s amorous wife.

Dave Cole wrote the screenplay and Holly Wiersma and Rene Besson are producing. Avi Lerner, Danny Dimbort, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson, John Thompson and Lati Grobman are executive producers.

  • Film Movement has acquired North American rights to Italian coming-of-age drama Corpo Celeste. The film screened in Directors’ Fortnight and is directed by first-timer Alice Rohrwacher.
