Amit Gupta comedy to receive its world premiere in Berlin next week.

Jeff Berg’s recently launched talent, finance and rights outfit, Resolution, has boarded world rights to Amit Gupta’s comedy Jadoo, which gets its world premiere in Berlin.

Jadoo, which is Hindi for ‘magic,’ is the story of two estranged brothers in Leicester, England.

Raja and Jagi are both great chefs who run rival restaurants. When Raja’s daughter gets married, she wants the brothers to put aside their differences to cook her wedding banquet.

The film stars Amara Karan, Tom Mison, Harish Patel, Kulvinder Ghi and Indian chef and actress Madhur Jaffrey.

Gupta (Resistance) writes and directs. Richard Holmes (Waking Ned Devine) produces with Amanda Faber, Isabelle Georgeaux and Nikki Parrott.

Resolution takes over sales from Intandem, which previously had sales and UK distribution rights to the feature. The UK outfit will no longer be releasing in the UK.
