Hungarian director will introduce his unique initiative on Thursday [Feb 13].

Béla Tarr will introduce his unique initiative ‘The film.factory’ at the HackescheHöfe Kino in Berlin on Thursday [Feb 13].

The programme is offered at the Sarajevo Film Academy of the Uniersity Sarajevo School of Science and Technology, and was developed in collaboration with industry professionals such as Carlos Reygadas, Tilda Swinton, Guy Maddin and Gus Van Sant.

Tarr will head up the initiative which aims to promote an artistic approach towards film-making.

“Our aspiration is to work with mature filmmakers who think responsibly, with the spirit of humanism, artists who have an individual outlook, an individual form of expression and who use their creative powers in the defense of the dignity of man within the reality that surrounds us,” commented the Hungarian film-maker.
