Montreal-based international sales outfit Delphis Films has picked up world sales rights for Atle Knudsen’s Norwegian family hit Orps The Movie in advance of its international market debut at Cannes.

Released in Norway in March, the film has grosssed over $900,000 through SF Norge.

The story follows a group of friends in a brass band preparing for a competition who find themselves thwarted at every turn by their prima donna conductor. Produced by Olav Oen of Norway’s Monster Film, the film stars Ann-Kristin Somme (star of the Belinale Generation title Trigger) and August Ekanger.

Delphis will also be shopping two Berlinale Generation titles, Glowing Stars and The Girl, both from Sweden, and Canadian family title Sogokuru directed by Roger Cantin for Montreal’s Productions La Fete. Delphis will also be looking to close out remaining territories on the family adventure Letter For The King, which has already sold to Spain, France, Russia and Turkey.
