Film Movement has acquired US rights to Aleksei Popogrebsky’s How I Ended This Summer and will set a limited release in September.

The Russian-language film chronicles the relationship of two men stationed at a remote arctic post as tensions arise when the younger attempts to hide a terrible revelation from his more experienced colleague.

The film won the Berlin Silver Bear for both leads actors and also took the cinematography prize. Film Movement president Adley Gartenstein negotiated the deal with Stefanie Zeitler of Bavaria.

Film Movement has acquired North American rights to Sylvio Soldini’s Come Undone (Cosa Voglio Di Piu), about an affair that leads to devastating consequences. Gartenstein brokered the deal with Yoann Ubermulhin of Pyramide.
