Saw 3D launches day-and-date with North America in around two dozen territories, among them the UK, Australia, Japan, Russia, Mexico, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Sweden.

Meanwhile Paranormal Activity 2 stands at $30.3m and will open in six new territories this week including Hong Kong.

DreamWorks Animation’s Megamind featuring a voice cast of Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt and Tina Fay opens ahead of North America in the high piracy markets Russia and the Ukraine.
