IFC Films has taken US rights to Baltasar Kormakur’s thriller Inhale starring Dermot Mulroney and Diane Kruger.

Walter Doty and John Claflin wrote the screenplay from a story by Christian Escario about a desperate Santa Fe District Attorney who embarks on a dangerous trip to Mexico in search of a doctor he has heard about who can perform an operation for his daughter’s rare condition.

Sam Shepard, Vincent Perez, Rosanna Arquette and Jordi Molla also star and Nathalie Marciano, Jennifer Kelly, and Michelle Chydzik Sowa produced.

26 Films produced Inhale in association with Kormakur’s company Blueeyes Productions. The film will receive its US premiere on October 1 at the Woodstock Film Festival prior to VOD launch followed by theatrical release in New York on October 22. IFC Films’ Arianna Bocco and WME’s Graham Taylor brokered the deal.
