IFC Films has acquired worldwide rights to Joe Swanberg’s Uncle Kent, which will screen at Sundance next month in the Spotlight section.

Kent Osborne, Jennifer Prediger, Josephine Decker, and Swanberg star in the story about a children’s cartoonist in Los Angeles who tries to bed his house guest.

The film is the latest addition to an already long relationship between IFC and Swanberg, having previously released Hannah Takes The Stairs, Alexander The Last and Nights And Weekends.

IFC’s director of acquisitions and co-productions Lizzie Nastro brokered he deal with with Swanberg.
