Kino plans a US theatrical launch this autumn.

The deal was negotiated by Donald Krim for Kino International, a releasing arm of Kino Lorber. Youngjoo Suh of Fine Cut negotiated on behalf of the producers.

“We are very excited about taking on Poetry for the US market,” said Krim. “This film is a profound statement about the human condition and should find an audience among all filmgoers looking for movies that nourish the soul. It also justifiably marks the further recognition of Lee Chang-dong as a world-class director.”
