Screen Media has acquired North American rights to Michael Swan’s live-action family adventure White Lion.

The film shot outside Johannesburg and tells of a rare white lion cub that rises above many challenges to become one of the most powerful predators in Africa.

The celebrated “lion whisperer” Kevin Richardson also served as a producer. Screen Media will partner with local zoos in the US.

Screen Media president Robert Baruc and David Fannon negotiated the deal with Scott Bedno and David Jackson at Showcase Entertainment.
