Sundance Selects has acquired North American rights to Errol Morris’ documentary Tabloid following its world premiere in Toronto last autumn.

The company is planning a festival strategy prior to “aggressively rolling it out theatrically” and on VOD in the summer.

Tabloid tells the story of a former Miss Wyoming who is charged with abducting and imprisoning a young Mormon Missionary. Sundance Selects svp of acquisitions and productions Arianna Bocco negotiated the deal with Josh Braun of Submarine.
